From the 5th lantern you add to your shopping cart onwards, you will receive an increasing discount on each lantern.
The maximum discount is 40% for 12 lanterns.

Each lantern comes with a design in two different sizes.

The format is precisely tailored to standard cheese boxes, which can be bought very cheaply for lantern making.

• Basic instructions with tips for painting lanterns

The designs are printed on standard 80g printer paper.

Make sure your printer is set to 100% size.
(The file format is exactly A4.)
Each printer has a different printable area…
Some printers therefore automatically want to scale down the image slightly.
Then the design would no longer fit exactly around the cheese box.

To make the large lantern, simply glue the two A4 sheets of paper together, ensuring they fit perfectly. (Use a glue stick.)

To make the small lantern, cut the A4 printout in half and glue the two halves together to form a smaller strip.

Additional materials you will need:

• Cheese box with a diameter of 15.3 or 11 cm (the standard sizes for lantern making)
• Colors according to preference , e.g. watercolors, wax crayons, colored pencils, felt-tip pens, ink…
• (Salad) oil or candle wax to make the paper transparent and beautifully bright.
• iron, kitchen roll
• glue stick
• Light source , e.g., electric lantern stick
