🖨️ Important printing instructions
Print on standard 80g printer paper
It is essential to set the printer to 100% size
(file format is exactly DIN A4)
Some printers scale automatically – please disable this,
otherwise the design will not fit perfectly around the cheese box
✂️ How to build the lantern
Large lantern:
→ Glue the 2 A4 sheets together precisely (glue stick)
Small lantern:
→ Cut the A4 printout in half
→ Glue both halves together to form a narrower strip
🎨 Additional materials you will need
🧀 Cheese box with 15.3 cm or 11 cm diameter
(standard sizes for lantern making)
🎨 Colors of your choice:
Watercolors, wax crayons, colored pencils, felt-tip pens, ink
🕯️ Salad oil or candle wax
→ makes the paper transparent & beautifully luminous
🔥 Iron & paper towel

💡 Light source, e.g., electric lantern stick

The purchased files are available for download once the order has been successfully completed.
File formats:
The respective file format is indicated in the product description. The majority of our templates are provided as PDF files.
PDF files:
A PDF-compatible program or app is required to open them. PDF files can be opened on standard computers, tablets, and smartphones.
Printing:
A suitable printer is required for printable templates. Unless otherwise stated in the respective product description, our print templates are predominantly designed for DIN A4.
ZIP files:
Some larger downloads or product bundles are provided as ZIP files. To open them, the ZIP file must first be unzipped.
Plotter files and other file formats:
For products with special file formats, the included formats are specified in the respective product description. Please check before purchasing whether your software or device supports the specified file format.
Internet connection:
An internet connection is required for the initial download. Once downloaded, the files can generally be saved locally and—depending on the file format—also used offline.
